Our Early Years learners recently took part in a fun and engaging number-matching activity designed to strengthen their understanding of numbers. Using colourful apple cards, the children matched number words such as two, three, and four with the correct quantity of dots. This interactive exercise helped them connect number names with their values while developing counting, observation, and problem-solving skills. Beyond learning to count, activities like these encourage: Number recognition and vocabulary development, One-to-one correspondence, Critical thinking and concentration, Fine motor coordination, Confidence in early mathematics by making learning practical and enjoyable, we lay a solid foundation for future mathematical success.
